Healthy Kids Clinic Partners with Hardin County Schools
2/19/2019
CFMC, Inc. is excited to announce the expansion of our school-based health centers through a partnership with the Hardin County school district where we are offering primary care and preventative care services, dental services, and behavioral health services. We are pleased to provide these services to students. Our goal is to help create a healthier and more focused student body.
School-based health centers (SBHCs) complement the work of school nurses by providing a readily accessible referral site for students who are without a medical home. School nurses collaborate with SBHCs to provide an array of health services to keep students healthy, in school, and ready to learn. Onsite services offered include acute care visits, well child visits, physicals, and immunizations. Nurse Practitioners Karen Leasor, Lindsey Haukom, and Katie Baldwin are excited to work with our schools and students. They will be available during school hours on a rotational basis through Hardin County schools to provide these services.
“I am proud to be a part of the Healthy Kids Clinic where we are able to offer services to at risk students while increasing school attendance and promoting healthy school practices,” said Lindsey Haukom, APRN, FNP-C.
Extending these wonderful services allows us to continue our mission to meet the needs of our service area by providing patient care in an environment that focuses on prevention of illness, therefore, improving the quality of life.
